Free online file converter
Use a fast file converter for everyday image and PDF tasks. FileOnTap runs locally, so this free online file converter does not upload your files or require an account.
Browser-local processing · No upload · No account
Quick start
FileOnTap is a free online file converter for supported HEIC, HEIF, JPG, PNG, WebP and PDF workflows. Convert images, compress files, or organize PDFs directly in a compatible browser, without uploading selected files to a FileOnTap conversion server. You do not need a FileOnTap account; different tools have their own batch and file limits.
Images
Use the image converter tools to convert HEIC, WebP, and PNG images into formats that are easier to share, upload, or edit. Each image converter runs in your browser and keeps the source file on your device.
Convert WebP to PNG locally while preserving decoded transparency for graphics and editing workflows.
Convert WebP images to broadly compatible JPG files directly in your browser.
Turn PNG images into JPG for smaller photographic files and broad compatibility.

Compression
Compress JPG, PNG, and WebP images locally in your browser. The image compressor shows the original size, compressed size, and reduction before you download.
Use the PDF converter when an image needs to become a document-style file for sharing, printing, or submission. The PDF converter works locally in the same no-upload workflow. A PDF converter is useful when the destination expects a document instead of an image file.

Yes. The current image and PDF tools are free to use, without creating a FileOnTap account.
Supported conversion operations process selected source files locally in your browser, not on a FileOnTap conversion server. Loading site resources and optional basic analytics can still involve network requests.
Current tools support specific HEIC/HEIF, JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP and PDF workflows. FileOnTap is not a general-purpose video, audio or office-document converter.
HEIC and common image-format batch converters and the image compressor accept up to 10 files per batch. JPG to PDF accepts up to 30 images. Other PDF tools have different, page- and file-specific limits described on their pages.
The image compressor supports a target file size, but the result is approximate and depends on the source, encoding and browser. A particular target size is not guaranteed.
Many tools work in compatible mobile browsers, but support varies by browser, available memory, file format and device. Keep an original copy and confirm that the downloaded output meets your needs.
